Plastic Challenge: Sandy Sanders, Week 1

Question: I throw alot of tennis ball containers in the recycle. They have a metal edge at the top of the plastic container. I wonder if they get booted out of the stream at the facility? Do you know anything about this item in the recycle stream?

I am already aware of recycling and started this challenge several years ago to be more aware of choices to reduce plastic… it is hard at the grocery store sometimes you are limited in choices. A couple things that are consistent that dont have much option is Milk and Creamers. I do recycle most of my plastic. Lids of tennis ball containers are #4 which are not taken at any of our recycling centers.
