BULK — New Mobile Site from The Zero Waste Home

bulkBea Johnson from The Zero Waste Home has created a new mobile website for finding shops that offer products without packaging.  No matter where in the world you live, it’s possible there is a shop nearby where you can bring your own bags and containers to buy foods or personal care and cleaning products without the disposable wrapping, usually plastic, that most products come packaged in.  You might have never heard of this shop, but someone else has and has added it to the BULK website for you to find.

Or maybe you’re the one in the know, someone who has made plastic-free living a habit, and you want a way to spread the news about the plastic-free and packaging-free resources you have found.  The content on the BULK mobile site is crowd-sourced, and you are the crowd. It’s free to use and free to register and add new information.  And because it’s a mobile website rather than an app, it works on any device, including computers, tablets, and smartphones.

Please help other people to shop without generating plastic waste by spreading the word about this mobile site.  Link to it.  Post it on social media.  Add locations to it, and let people know what discoveries you have made.  I really believe this site can help us change the world!

  1. Amazing idea! The app could use a little bit of love. I’m in Florida, the search wouldn’t show anything on my map. I know of a couple local places near me that could be added.
